The buzz in this country is that people should read the Bible. But it is not at all that easy. Many people try to read the Bible, but find it confusing, obscure, or frightening. Others read it with mixed results. This adult study aims to provide several strategies for reading the Bible, either occasionally or regularly. It takes account of different goals in reading the Bible, for inspiration or information. The study gives a plain-spoken introduction to what kind of book the Bible is, maps out models for reading strategies, and provides some historical background information.
