Children's Ministry

We are currently seeking a Sunday School teacher and a childcare provider for Sunday mornings. Please inquire at chestnuthillunited@gmail.com for more information.

We love kids! We welcome their voices, questions and needs in worship. We are currently without a Sunday School teacher or childcare provider, but we're working on that. At this time, some parents keep their kids in worship with them and others take them down to the children's area, where we set up a laptop each Sunday so that parents can still engage the service via Zoom.

We continue to make space each Sunday for "Our Time with Children," when the kids are invited to the steps for a conversation with a pastor. It's not the tired "object lesson" of days gone by, though! Often the kids steer the direction of conversation, leading us all into interesting and thoughtful places. We don't use this time to exploit their "cute factor," but engage in honest and age-appropriate dialogue.
