Since we've had so many new faces in church lately, we thought it was about time you meet someone whose face you usually don't see: Karen Bruhin, our church administrator. Karen has been our administrator since 2013, so she has definitely learned how our denominations work singularly and together here at the church.

Like everything else, many of our regular office activities changed when the pandemic hit. Instead of having Karen in the office 5 days a week, she’s currently only in 3 days - Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She works from home the other two.

So, what does Karen do as the church administrator? Metaphorically speaking, she is the chef, the cook, and dishwasher in the office. Karen is in charge of editing the weekly sermon videos and getting them up on the website and shared on our social media. She helps to keep the website up to date.

She rides rein on our church management system, Realm. Which means if you need to change your phone number or address, she can do those things for you if you have not set up an account in Realm. If you notice that your giving statement has an error, like your gift accidentally went to the wrong giving line, you can reach out to her and she’ll take care of that in the database.

If this were non-COVID times, Karen would be our liaison to anyone that would be renting our space. She also handles regular office things like being our tech person, keeping the supplies stocked and answering the phone.
