Free, guided by experts (PhD's), local. These walks are saunters as the folks who attend are very interested in finding special plants & animals.

  • Usually checklists are handed out at the beginning of the walk; everyone is walking with a great sense of expectancy
  • Only pictures are taken.
  • Walks last about 2 hours.
  • Along woodland paths, trails by creeks: no macadam.
  • Bring bug spray a hat and some water; wear appropriate shoes.

Look for the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy (PWC) signes on Blackrock Road. The sanctuary is located along the Schuylkill River. Pass the dam, and will be just off Rte 113 on Blackrock Road.
